Welcome

There are many opportunities in life which could guide you toward the decision to begin therapy: life transitions/changes, substance use/dependence, depression/feeling stuck, anxiety/feeling fear, career concerns, relationship and intimacy challenges, trauma, health issues, and the desire to deepen self-knowledge just to name a few. Therapy can be something that you consider for long-term growth and healing or you may seek therapy for short-term situational support. Whatever your needs, I congratulate you for your choice to pursue change!

I provide psychotherapy for individuals, couples and families. I draw from a variety of concepts and methods such as attachment theory, psychodynamic framework, systems theory, cognitive behavioral approaches as well as new concepts originating from neurobiological research that confirm our need for relatedness and safety. Extensive education, training and experience in various approaches allows me to prioritize the specific needs and issues of the individual patient rather than squeezing the patient into one specific framework. I offer a safe and non-judgmental environment to aid your journey of discovery. I work with both long and short term clients. My style is direct, empathic and interactive.

Finding the right therapist for you can be life changing. Choosing to begin this relationship can provide a corrective emotional experience and deep support. The therapeutic relationship could be considered the scaffolding which supports you toward a new beginning. Growth develops out of addressing necessary change and facing difficult challenges in a supportive environment, which in turn provides relief and can set you on the path to health.
